February 2019 - Castle Point Ranger Fund nominated second year in a row at prestigious Morningstar Awards
Castle Point Ranger Fund nominated second year in a row at prestigious Morningstar Awards After just five years since it was established, Castle Point Funds Management has shown yet again how successful its philosophy and strategy is, by having its Ranger Fund nominated for the second year in a row for Fund Manager of the Year: Domestic Equities Category, New Zealand by rating agency Morningstar.
Morningstar are a leading provider of independent investment research and the Morningstar Awards are designed to help investors around the world identify the year's most exceptional funds and fund managers. "We are really delighted to be nominated again this year " said Richard Stubbs, co-founder of Castle Point. "It is recognition that after only five years, we are now established as a leading New Zealand boutique fund manager. We are particularly proud to have provided strong returns for our investors in recent years. To be nominated again is testimony to the hard work and vision of the team, and that our long-term, focused investment approach is delivering great returns for our clients and resonating with Morningstar." “The finalists for the Morningstar Awards demonstrate the quality and breadth of the investment options available to New Zealand investors,” Tim Murphy, Morningstar Australasia’s Director of Manager Research, Asia-Pacific, said.
“Being nominated for an award is testament to the fund manager’s first-class stewardship of their investors’ capital, and their ability to offer a consistently strongly-performing investment that enables investors to work towards reaching their financial goals.” We set up the Castle Point Ranger Fund in January 2014 with the aim of delivering an Australasian fund that was prepared to invest quite differently to the market, and crucially one that we wanted to invest our own money in” said Richard Stubbs. “We are delighted to have this acknowledgement from Morningstar for the second year in a row.
