Dyrol Lowe
Senior Executive
Dyrol joined the Castle Point team in August 2017. Dyrol has worked in the funds management industry now for 17 years. He is responsible for marketing Castle Point’s services as well as managing Castle Point's private client relationships.
Dyrol has both a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland as well as a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Auckland University of Technology. Prior to undertaking a career in the finance sector, Dyrol practiced as a qualified physiotherapist for 8 years.
Dyrol is married and has two teenage boys so any spare time is usually spent on the side of a football pitch in winter or a cricket field in the summer!

Eric Mahoney
Company Ambassador
Eric is a shareholder of Castle Point and his involvement with the Castle Point team dates back since before Castle Point's inception.
Eric was formerly a Vice President of Citibank N.A. and has held a number of senior management positions for over 18 years, including Managing Director of Citibank Global Asset Management in Auckland. Eric is President of The American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand and Chair of the Maritime Museum Foundation.
Eric resides in Auckland with his wife Robyn and has two children Rebecca and Nicholas. He is a keen yachtsman and is Chairman of the Auckland Anniversary Regatta committee and a member of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron.
Ross Taylor
Ross is best known for his many achievements as a professional cricketer, including becoming the first cricketer to play in 100 matches in all three formats of international cricket.
Ross also has an interest and passion for investing and following financial markets. Ross started with Castle Point as an ambassador in 2018 and has continued to grow his understanding and knowledge of Castle Point strategies and investment philosophy.
Alongside his ongoing cricket commitments, Ross is also responsible for Castle Points Business development as well as managing Castle Points private client base.
Nicola Maddock
Business Manager
Nicola joined Castle Point in March 2021 and is responsible for providing operational and business support with a key focus on supporting Castle Point clients.
Nicola has an extensive background in managing client support teams and business operations. She has spent most of her professional career in the Insurance industry.
Nicola is married and has a daughter, Mia-Pearl, she enjoys spending quality time with her extended family and friends.
Josh Mattingley
Business Analyst
Josh joined Castle Point in May 2021. Josh has 14 years of experience in the finance industry in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to joining Castle Point, Josh was a Financial Analyst for New Zealand Guardian Trust, which acts as supervisor for managed investment schemes with assets in excess of NZ$120 billion (as at June 2018).
Josh graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance from Griffith University in 2013 and is currently a candidate for the Level III exam in the CFA program this year.
Josh is married to Suzi and they have two daughters, Addison and Evelyn. Josh loves to cook and spend time with family and friends.
Liz O’Callaghan
Compliance Manager
Liz joined Castle Point in March 2022. Liz is an experienced risk and compliance professional with over 10 years of experience across various industries including financial products, financial and insurance services. She has consulted to small and medium sized entities, helping them meet their regulatory obligations by providing simple and sustainable compliance solutions.
Liz lives in Hawke's Bay and loves hiking.
Claire Young
Client Services
Claire has spent most of her working career in marketing and branding and holds an honours degree in Marketing from Strathclyde University, Scotland.
She immigrated to New Zealand in 2003 and found a love of New Zealand wine as Marketing Manager for New Zealand wineries Clearview and Soljans, then for Global drinks distributor Pernod Ricard.
Claire joined Castle Point in a part time capacity after having children. Claire is married to Jamie and they have two children Joshua and Zoe. The family moved to Nelson to enjoy an outdoors lifestyle which New Zealand is famous for.
